Hampton Inn Clarks Summit/Scranton

This is a fantastic hotel. Newly renovated, great staff who are super helpful and friendly. Clean rooms. It's a great location just off the highway but in a cute small town with good restaurants. Perfect for a road trip stop. Did I mention the staff? They really made the stay special!

Worst Hilton experience I’ve ever had. I’ve worked at Hilton, stayed at dozens of them, and never had an issue once worth noting. I just got woken up by a staff member banging on my door at 1:00am over and over, I have to get out of bed half asleep, get dressed, go to the door, to be told that me and my half asleep girlfriend are making too much noise, and we need to be quiet because they’re getting complaints. Not only could this have been a phone call to our room instead so I didn’t have to answer an aggressively knocking man at my door at 1:00am scaring me half to death, but we were making absolutely no noise. Completely absurd situation to be in and it is terribly that I have to stay here 5 more days after this complete nonsense. Update: spoke with the man who banged my door down at 1:00am, he said he was standing outside of our door for a while and could hear us speaking to each other, giving him reason to knock repetitively until he got an answer. When I asked him where it says that guests aren’t allowed to speak to each other at normal volumes in his rooms, he said it’s absolutely not a rule, but he wanted us to stop talking completely. Absolutely insane. I’m horrified at this hotel and I urge anyone to avoid it at ALL costs.

Clean, comfortable and safe at a fair price. The location is close to the PA Turnpike (I476) and has extremely easy access. Typical Hampton breakfast-not gourmet, but better than most other chains of similar category. You’ll find something to help get you on the road.

What a great place! I made just a quick overnight stop at this hotel while driving through Clarks Summit on business. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly and offered water. The room was extremely clean and smelled nice. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept great. Upon departure, the staff was again very friendly, and offered a soda as I went on my way. Again, I just stopped for a quick night on business but the hotel made such a wonderful impression This hotel is a rare gem!

Weirdest Hilton that I've ever stayed in. They don't do wake up calls. Even if you are a Diamond member. They do not care. Will be the last time I stay here. I was staying here on business and needed to make my meetings on time.

We only stayed here one night while traveling across the northeast with our dogs. It was a last-minute decision after we realized we wouldn't make it as far as we thought on that day of driving. My husband called ahead to confirm their hot tub status and they assured him it was open and available... we arrived at 9:15 and we went straight down. At 10pm an employee came to close the pool but realized it was the crazy man who had called from the highway so she let him stay an extra 15 minutes! Ha! Very much appreciated. The pet area is also very big, about half grass and half woodchips depending on your dog's potty preferences. The breakfast space was also very nice and clean with all the usual selection. Would definitely stay here again as we travel this route several times a year.

As soon as I checked in, I was thanked for being a Hilton Honors member and given a bag with 2 bottles of ice cold water. Our room was very clean and the hotel was quiet. Our bed was very comfortable. Tully's restaurant is next door, a 5-minute walk.

We stayed in several Hiltons during our vacation, but this was the best. Very clean, great guest services and really nice breakfast. The breakfast area and the rooms were clean and tidy. Coffee and tea were always available. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff is friendly and inviting. The housekeeping staff clearly does a great job because the room and whole hotel were very clean. We enjoyed the variety of selections at the continental breakfast. Highly recommend! My only complaint would be that we could hear the highway from the room but they did have earplugs available in the room.
